Children's Activity Pyramid

Five Tips from Gwenn Schurgin O’Keeffe, MD, FAAP
Keeping Kids Moving!


From the tip to the base, here is the “Children’s Activity Pyramid”:

  • Reduce time spent with TV and video/computer games; don’t sit for 30 minutes or more at a time
  • Two to three times a week, engage in playtime and fun activities like dancing, martial arts, swimming, and tumbling
  • Three to five times a week, engage in real aerobic activities, from biking to soccer to old-fashioned games like tag and hide-and-seek (20 minutes or more is the goal for these activities.)
  • Everyday, as much as possible, play outside, use the stairs, help around the house and in the yard, pick up toys, walk, etc.
  • Have fun!

Miss Kristal!


Miss Kristal is a current student at Mercer University earning a masters in Early Childhood Education. She has extensive training in many different dance styles including ballet, modern, tap, jazz, pointe and improvisational dance. She also volunteered as a dance instructor in Brooklyn, NY. The kids will love her... almost as much as she will love them!

Coach Laura!

Coach Laura instructs Tumble Team and Sports Fun. She has spent her life working with children and is very experienced in tumbling and sports. All of the children always fall in love with her!

Dance Fun

Dance Fun is the fun, skills based dance program for girls and boys! It is designed to teach your dancer a new skill each week. Your kids will be dancing to our custom curriculum and music, created especially for young dancers. We use fun and excitement, blended with classical elements, to ensure the best possible dance experience for your child. We introduce ballet, disco, jazz, modern, hip-hop, tap and more!
Dance fun is a 45 minute class offered every Wednesday afternoon.

Tumble Team


Tumble Team is the fun tumbling and fitness program for kids!
Each week we bring a new and exciting curriculum that focuses on fitness and tumbling skills, with the use of our safe and fun equipment.
Our program is designed specifically for young children. We teach tumbling skills in a fun, high energy way that kids love!

Sports Fun


Sports Fun uses fun, high energy games and activities to teach children fitness and skills like throwing, catching, hitting, kicking, striking, tracking as well as game comprehension, teamwork and sportsmanship. Among other fun activities, we teach baseball, basketball, football, soccer, golf and tennis.

We help lay the foundation of sports and fitness in your child's life!
